Sometimes you can fix something by:
-Listening to the radio
- laughing at the blues
-making sure that no one‘s hungry
-sitting on a barstool
-looking for Integrity
-instead of fixing you
-listening with an open heart
-looking in her eyes
-leaving others by the wayside
-using super glue!
-knocking on the door
-laying on the floor
Sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes,
you just can’t fix
You just can’t fix
You just can’t fix
Something something something something something something something something
Scat out…… On something……

I wrote the lyrics with my girlfriend Rosemary, we used an object writing method I learned while studying with a guy named Wyatt Easterling down in Nashville last year.
It’s a cool way to write, took about ten minutes for us to put it down on paper.
Then, I recorded it on LogicPro. I used your track to lay down the vocals.
Added the “Lou Reed”synth line and the vocal percussion next.
I laid down another acoustic guitar track to mimic yours and split them across the stereo spread. That allowed me to bring down the click track in the mix but still use it with the vocal percussion to get more syncopation towards the end of the track.
Compressed and limited the vocals. Then just did a quick master. It’s not perfect, just had fun with it. The whole thing just took a couple of hours to do, which was the point, not to get too serious about it. Just let it stream out.
